Vertex Tower
Amman, JORDAN - 2007
Vertex Tower is included in the most ambitious project of urban old city centre retraining of Amman which concerns 30 hectares, originally for military destination, of the Abdali quarter. Residence, commercial space, parking places, cinema, a library and a gymnasium, all are gathered in wide building complex established by four towers of over 110 meters and from complementar buildings of 4/5 floors.
The tower and the buildings connected designed by Claudio Nardi are marked with surfaces read, almost sharp, natural stone by the colour light grey, which hover almost detached from the body of the buildings and intersect between themselves and with the those coated aluminium panels of dark blue electrocolored.
Large surfaces, finally, mark the tower in a geometric but irregular design according to a vibrant, asymmetrical, dynamic.
The plan surfaces, coated in stone or aluminium covered, are carved and designed by variable rate of openings, and its frames that sign as embrasure the solid slits of the facades.
Materials of tradition and contemporary materials, ethereal surfaces material but also massive surfaces material, give prominence to volumes, in which the apertures seams embedded. The vertex tower is a building in shape and size that is to be the result of search of the link between sensitive language contemporary, comfort, technology and tradition..

Architecture for sensitive lives- BUILDING WITH THE WORLD
The Italian language, recognised and recognisable, conveys signs, styles and trends, as if grafting them onto local forms and shapes, yet without overpowering them, letting other scents, techniques, aesthetics emanate or assimilating them as much as possible.
