Designed in the late 19th century in the Second Empire style, the building features an elegantly adorned façade. The two-level design —ground floor and basement— of the new LUISAVIAROMA NYC store intertwines memory with modernity. The end result thrives on many juxtapositions: dark tones and delicate shades, materiality and color, architectural abstraction and artisanal detail, dazzling sunlight and sinuous shadows. Like an art gallery, the space unfolds in a progressive reveal along its 1,000 square meters.
